EYL Training Camp helps youth:

- Become campus and community leaders -

- Create a plan of action to help improve your campus or community -

- Learn how to build trust and self esteem, improve communication
and appreciate differences in others through "Family Group" activities -

- Participate in fun activities, games and events with other youth -

- Learn all they need to know to step up and make a difference
through informational and skill-building workshops each day -

WHAT IS EYL TRAINING CAMP?

Extreme Youth Leadership Training Camp is about giving young
people the OPPORTUNITY to step up and create real solutions to real
issues in their schools and communities and providing them with the
SKILLS necessary to become change agents to effect the issues
facing their communities and RECOGNITION for the great value their
service brings to their school and community.


RESEARCH BASED STRATEGIES


EYL Training Camp uses the latest in Educational Standards,
Research Based and Proven Effective Strategies in its methods and
curriculum. Some of the standards and research utilized:

EYL Training Camp Components

        Drug-Free Fun
Have a blast & make new friends!!!   Experience our scavenger hunt, the  un-olympics, talent show and much  more!!!
Brighten the lives of local youth  while participating in service projects!

        Action Planning & Team Time
Learn the ins and outs of planning a community improvement project that will actually make a difference!!!

To get the most out of camp, come with a group of fellow students from your  school or community and register as a Team. (1 adult sponsor is required for  every 10 students) Once you arrive you will have scheduled meetings with your  team and a volunteer camp staffer who will lead you through sessions to create  a plan of action to take back to your community.

        Family Groups
Get to know yourself and others better when  you join your Family Group. Trust-building  games and other fun activities will help you  learn more about good communication, getting  along with others and accepting differences. 

During Family Group, young people and adults  meet every day to talk about challenges in life  and issues that they are facing in their own communities.

        Skill Building Workshops
EYL Training Camp provides you with a choice  of workshops that offer the most up-to-date  information about tobacco, alcohol, other drugs  and violence, effective prevention strategies and  leadership development.

You will also be able to select leadership and skill building workshops for beginners or advanced-level students.
